U.S. IHS | www.ihs.com Our research team, consisting of seven colleagues, is focused specifically on identifying gas production data gaps and errors related to incomplete and inaccurate data within the OCC and OTC source files. The graph below is a snapshot comparing the top 10 Operators current total gas production versus the total gas production for January 2010 thru December 2011, in the March 2012 time frame. Comparing volumes in March 2012 vs. current volumes, the team has in filled an impressive total of 499,519,499 Mcf, or nearly 500 Bcf to the 2010 and 2011 gas production data for just these top 10 operators. Total gas volumes added for all operators to the 2010, 2011 and 2012 data throughout the 2013 cleanup efforts are 204,027,438 mcf, 261,210,568 mcf and 686,685,962 mcf, respectively. Additionally, the team identified a significant number of gas volumes mainly in the 2011 and 2012 data where the OTC Tax File had misread input decimals and inadvertently added two “00’s to the end of the gas volumes. Thus, for example, 5,100 mcf becomes 510,000 mcf in the State’s data. This issue seemed to be resolved by the OTC through the middle to later part of 2013, however, IHS has again recently seen these exploded volumes in the January 2014 data and we are trapping and addressing those accordingly. We continue to refine our capture processes and will continue to work with regulatory bodies as wells as operators to ensure we have the most accurate Oklahoma production volumes in the industry. 133
