MIDSTREAM CANADA CONTINUED GDM LOW PRESSURE GAS PIPELINE The GDM Low Pressure Gas Utility Data includes all low pressure distribution pipelines in Alberta outside of major cities and First Nation Reserves. Information contained in the database include the spatial location of the distribution lines, operator, and status as well as outside diameter and pipeline material information where available. Rural gas distribution franchise boundaries and service points are also captured and supplied in the database. The information is maintained for data consistency and currency as well the database has been reformatted to a GIS ready structure for clients to efficiently utilize the information. GDM ENVIRONMENTAL INCIDENT The GDM Environmental Incident Data associates environmental incident-related information with the industry's most comprehensive source of pipelines, facilities and wells for Alberta and Saskatchewan. Information contained in the database include environmental release and complaint events, dating back to 1975, which are associated to the original licensee on record at the time of the event. The information enables the following key areas in managing an operator's pipeline network: Operational Efficiency Understand the historical performance of an asset including how many incidents occurred within your pipeline network regardless of asset ownership. Regulation & Enforcement Understand your company's current and historical incident releases. Liabilities related to incidents carry forward to the pipeline owner, even if the current owner was not the company that experienced the original incident. Risk Mitigation Proactively manage complaints registered to a governing body from the general public by understanding your system's performance as well as neighbouring operator's performance. 42
