89 INTERNATIONAL IHS | www.ihs.com CARTOGRAPHY DATABASE The Cartography Database 1M (1 million scale) consists of a worldwide set of layers in vector format (lines, points or polygons) at a nominal scale of 1 Million including the following features available with major attribute fields: »» Geography layers - coastlines and islands - rivers and lakes - cities - onshore borders - wetlands - countries »» Bathymetry layer contains the water depth contours »» Province layers includes administrative subdivision lines and polygons at various levels »» Licensing Grids »» Offshore Boundaries and Limits layer contains ratified borders, major claims and some national limits such as 200 nautical miles The Province layer provides more than 169 countries covered with first order administrative subdivisions and 26 with second order. Names and designation are consistent with ISO3166-2 standards and linked with our International E&P Database. Licensing grids contain nearly 1,000,000 polygons for 42 countries. Our Cartography Database at 150 million scale provides a worldwide set of layers including the following features: »» Onshore Countries: polygons representing worldwide country areas »» Offshore Countries: polygons of offshore territorial claims of the world »» Geographical Terrain – onshore, shelf and deepwater subdivisions Recent Enhancements Cartography Database 1M (1 Million Scale) Grids: Added Brazilian Government - Pre-salt Area, Italy Zone C South Sector and Canadian British Colombia 1st order. Updated geometry and attributes as part of the WGS84 project in Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada (except Yukon), China, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Greenland, Grenada, Montenegro, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Seychelles, South Sudan, Sudan, Turkey, Venezuela and US( Atlantic, Pacific, GOM) Borders: Added Colombia/Nicaragua, Comoros/ Tanzania and Comoros/Mozambique, borders, Malta claimed continental shelf and Colombia 200nm limit.
